Frances Saunders - Obituary

rances passed away peacefully at home in her favorite chair on Friday, May 31, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.  She was born on November 23rd, 1927, in Chatham, Virginia, to the late John Henry and Lula Jane Robertson.  Frances was a devoted mother and homemaker, caring deeply for her children. Frances growing up was a dedicated member of Cherrystone Baptist Church in Chatham, Virginia. She enjoyed word search puzzles, casinos with friends and family, traveling, watching westerns, soap operas, and one in particular, The Young and the Restless, and Court TV Show Judge Judy.  Frances is survived by three loving daughters, Evelyn Robinson, Kathy, Adrienne, and Barbara J. Saunders, and one son Thomas Robertson, preceded in death by her two sons Allen Robertson and Randy A. Saunders. Frances leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great grand grandchildren whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, fond and cherishable memories of her sisters Josephine Wallace, Dora Cornish, Marie Jenkins, and Jabbie Womack and brothers John Henry, Percy and James Robertson, and surviving brother Van Robertson residing in Philadelphia, PA.
