Francillia C. Browne - Obituary

rancillia Browne, affectionately called Francis, died peacefully at home in Oxon Hill MD, on August 10, 2022. She was born December 3, 1926 in Trinidad and Tobago to the late Alfred and Franciose Didiere. She spent her childhood and early adult years in Trinidad before immigrating to the US in 1969.She was the devoted wife of George (d) and the mother of 6 children, Jean, Booker, Marina(Calvin), Oscar(d), Leon(Terry-Ann), and Erma(Trevor). She is survived by her 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. A seamstress for the majority of her life, Francis found joy in creating and elevating garments and home decor for her customers in both Trinidad and the US. You could often find her dancing to Soca and calypso and relishing in the joy of family gatherings. She was anchored in her catholic faith and remained a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church for over 40 years where she served as a lay reader and member of the Knights of Peter Claver. We invite those who cared about and loved her to a viewing on Monday August 22nd, 2022 at 10 am followed by a Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 4275 4th Street SE, Washington DC 20032.
