Francis Ogden Van Wie - Obituary

n Thursday, February 1, 2018, Francis Van Wie passed away surrounded by his loving wife and children. Francis retired from IBM as a senior systems engineer with over 30 years of service. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Van Wie; father of Susan Thur, David, John and Wayne VanWie, Michelle Burgee and Janet Lewis; son of the late John and Anne Van Wie; brother of James, William and the late Jack and Donald Van Wie, Thelma, Margaret, Loretta and Catherine, also survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Francis’ life on Monday, February 5 from 10:30AM until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 12 noon at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD 20778.
