Francis Wilson - Obituary

rancis P. “Frank” Wilson Francis P. “Frank” Wilson, 96, a resident of Edgewater and formerly of Riverdale, died on November 11 at the Tate Hospice House in Linthicum. Born on September 13, 1917 in Washington, DC to the late Noble J. and Lillian M. Wilson, Frank graduated from Hyattsville High School in 1935 then attended two years of business school from 1947-1948. He was a salesman for 40 years. After retiring he worked part time as a kitchen design consultant and for the past ten years as an Anne Arundel crossing guard. He was an avid golfer and loyal Redskin fan. Frank also served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps during WWII. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Naomi E. Wilson and one step-daughter, Shirley Underwood. He is survived by one step-granddaughter, Debbie Jordan; one step-great-granddaughter, Kristin Vendemia and one sister, Catherine Moret. He is also survived by two step-great-great-grandsons.
