Frank Abend - Obituary

rank J. Abend, 92, a 66-year resident of Davidsonville died at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home on July 11, 2012. Born February 14, 1920 in Baltimore, he served in the United States Army during WWII. Frank was the owner of Frank Abend Landscaping, Co. He was a member of Ruritan Club, Annapolis Elks Lodge 622, American Legion Post 226, Glen Burnie Moose Lodge and the Farm Bureau. His hobbies included taking care of his dog, gardening and watching boxing on television. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Juliet "Pat" Abend, who died December 30, 2011; and 13 siblings. He is survived by a son, Steve Abend of Davidsonville; a daughter, Sandy Collins of Albuquerque, NM; and one sister, Lil Cox of Baltimore. Friends are invited to Frank's Life Celebration on Friday, July 20 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 10am. Entombment Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
