orn in Boston, Air Force officer, veteran of Korea, Catholic Lay Minister, died April 19, 2015 at Walter Reed NMMC in Bethesda, Maryland after a chronic illness. Devoted husband for 56 years of Lorraine; loving father of Diane, Kathy and John; and doting grandfather of James, Jessica, Jeffrey, Shawn and Mindy. Survived by siblings Billy, Stella, Paul, Joanne and Eddie.
A true Patriot who served his beloved country first through 26 years of service in the Air Force and later through mentoring Civilian Agency leaders. Military advisor to six Presidents beginning with the Johnson Administration. In retirement, served Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and in various positions on the Parish Council. Added a music degree and a pastoral music certificate to his BS in Electrical Engineering (University of Colorado) and MBA in Logistics (Penn State). Then, devoted many years to the Music Ministry and serving the children of Saint Columba Parish.
Family and friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at Saint Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants for a living garden or a donation to a charity of your choice. Date of interment at Arlington National Cemetery to be announced.
