Frank Joseph DiGirolomo - Obituary

rank Joseph DiGirolomo, passed away on June 13, 2018, at his home in Edgewater surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Patricia Costello DiGirolomo; daughter Diane and husband Robby Bonanni; son Rocco Michael DiGirolomo and wife Lisa; daughter-in-law Debbie DiGirolomo; daughter Mary and husband Stephen Perzanowski; and son Anthony DiGirolomo and fiancé Amanda Melvin. Dearly loved by his 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, they shared much laughter and joy together spending time on the river. Frank was preceded in death by his son Frank DiGirolomo; his parents Rocco and Erminia DiGirolomo; his sister Mary Marconi; and brother Tony DiGirolomo. Born March 22, 1934, Frank worked for the United States Postal Department for 33 years, and upon his retirement, he worked as a school bus driver in Anne Arundel County for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golf, boating, fishing and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, the American Legion, and was a faithful supporter of Wounded Warriors and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Friends are invited to celebrate Frank's life at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, June 18 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M and on Tuesday, June 19 from 10 A.M. until his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD. Interment immediately following in the church cemetery.
