Frank Mitchell - Obituary

RANK EDWARD MITCHELL, 81 Frank Edward Mitchell passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Ft. Washington, Maryland, at the age of 81. He was born August 12, 1934 to Frank and Martha (Ingram) Mitchell in Memphis, Tennessee. Frank graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis. He subsequently attended UCLA and served in the U.S. Air Force. Frank was a successful entrepreneur who founded Multivac Inc., a janitorial services company in the Washington, DC area, in addition to being part owner of Mercel GMC Trucks in Wichita Falls, Texas. Frank was an avid golfer who registered 3 hole-in-ones during his golf career. He was also an accomplished singer in his own right, stealing the show at every karaoke opportunity. He was truly the life of the party. Frank is survived by his 2 sons: Frank Jr. and his wife Brenda of Ft. Washington, MD; and Erick and his wife Jennifer of Washington, DC; former spouse, Joyce A.G. Mitchell of Rockville, MD; 3 grandchildren, Frank III and his wife Theresa of Hyattsville, MD, Tanisha Mitchell of Ft. Washington, MD and Carter Paul Mitchell of Washington, DC. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Frances Davis, his 2 brothers Henry and Eddie Mitchell, and his first wife Eleanor Rose Mitchell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 am at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
