Frank Richards - Obituary

rancis (Frank) L. Rickards III Frank Rickards, 50, passed away on Wednesday, February 11th at his home in Annapolis, MD. He had bravely battled lung cancer for several years. Frank and his loving wife of 25 years, Catherine (Olekszyk) Rickards, were originally from Bucks County, PA and happily spent the last 20 years at their current home in Annapolis, MD. He graduated in 1976 from CB West High School and in1982 with a BS degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA. Shortly after graduating he settled into field sales/marketing positions in the non-ferrous metal (aluminum, brass, copper) industry. During his 20 year plus career he held the following positions: Sales Representative, District Sales Manger, and Account Manager. Frank was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to go crabbing, fishing, boating, and hiking. Survivors include his wife Catherine, mother Helen Rickards, and two siblings, Marianne Kelly of Lansdale, PA, and Joan Young of Ambler, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister Paula Rickards, his brother John Rickards and his father Dr. Francis L. Rickards. Also surviving are many beautiful nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on February 26, 2009 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad St., Hilltown, PA. Frank loved nature.
