Gary Cheek - Obituary

ary C. Cheek Sr., 78, of Edgewater, MD, passed away suddenly on February 8, 2016 while on vacation in Atlanta, GA. He was born on January 7, 1938 in Arlington, VA. He grew up in Washington, DC until he moved to Edgewater, MD in 1965. He loved travelling with his late wife Carole in their RV. They travelled all over the United States and especially loved the South West. He was an avid antique gun collector and loved Native American Indian artifacts. He is survived by his children Robert Cheek, Jeanine Young (David) and Gary Cheek Jr.;his grandchildren, Nicole Robert, Paul Robert, Samantha Cheek and Wesley Young; two sisters, Stella Wright and Susan Cheek. Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037 on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 2pm until a service begins at 3pm.
