ay Adams Gauvreau a resident of Annapolis, MD for sixteen years died on Monday, August 14 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born on October 15, 1947 in Topeka, KS to the late Hewitt and Thelma Adams, Gay earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clemson University. She worked in computer software sales and consultation with various firms in the area for more than thirty years. Gay was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis and enjoyed weightlifting, reading and going for airplane rides with her pilot husband, Joe. She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Joseph Gauvreau; her sister, Susan Adams of Rockville, MD; her nephews, Edward (Anna) Grofic of Chapel Hill, NC and William (Abby) Grofic of Brookeville, MD; her great-nephews, Oliver, Elias and Abram and her great-nieces, Nora, Piper and Maise. Friends are invited to celebrate Gay's life on Thursday, August 17 from 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 18 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD.
