Gayle William Grismer - Obituary

ayle William Grismer, 71, of Annapolis MD, passed away March 8, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Gayle was born on October 11, 1950 in Champaign, IL. After graduating from Central High School, he went on to study at the University of Illinois. He spent his entire career in the restaurant industry and ultimately settled in as a Partner with Texas Roadhouse. He was an avid sports fan and focused on the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Illini games. He was a master of history (particularly WWII events); he loved animals, the outdoors, fishing, his Man Cave, his balcony at the beach, and vacationing in “God’s Country” at the cabin in Hayward, WI. Gayle was predeceased by his beloved Grandpa (Henry Bush), Grandma (Virgie Bush) and Mother (Ilene Bush Grismer). He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie Grismer; sons, Mathew (Tonya) Grismer and Gant (Erin) Grismer; daughters, Stacy (Rob) Howes and Chelsea (Nick) Grismer; 8 cherished grandchildren: Ava, Gage, Izzy, Cameron, Brynn, Brooke, Connor and Cole; and his sister, Paula Dalton. Friends are invited to celebrate Gayle's life on Friday, March 18, from 4 to 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 19 at 10:30 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD. Interment private.
