eorge Franklin Cormeny, Jr., 65, a resident of Severna Park and Stevensville, MD, died on May 29, 2009 in Annapolis, MD of lung cancer.
Born July 4, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dr. and Mrs. George F. Cormeny, Sr., he graduated from Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia, PA, Worchester Academy in Worchester, MA and Parsons College in Iowa with his Bachelors of Art degree. He was employed as the Senior Vice President of First National Bank of Maryland from 1975 to 2003. He was a member of Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Stevensville, MD. His hobbies included classic cars, motorcycles, hunting waterfowl and playing dominos with friends from church.
He was the beloved husband of Brenda E. Cormeny, whom he married in 1984; father of George F. Cormeny, III of Charleston, SC, Amanda Cormeny of Savannah, GA, Nicole Cormeny of Glen Burnie, MD and Laura Cormeny of Crofton, MD; brother of Margaret C. O'Brien of Boston, MA; former husband of Jennifer Heyd Wharton; he is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11:00AM at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church, 931 Love Point Road, Stevensville, MD following the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Safe Harbour Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 931 Love Point Road, Stevensville, MD 21666. Arrangements by the George P.
