George Hunt - Obituary

eorge Jerome Hunt, Sr., 45, a 40-year resident of Edgewater, MD, died on February 17, 2009 at his sister's home in Odenton, MD of cancer after a 7 month illness. Born May 11, 1963 in Cheverly, MD, he attended South River High School. He worked in the paving business for 25 years. His hobbies included crabbing, fishing, NASCAR and hanging with his friends. He was the beloved father of George Jerome Hunt, Jr. of Craigsville, VA; brother of Andrew Hunt of North Beach, MD, Colleen Straight of Clinton, MD, Cathleen Olsen of Masa, AZ, Deborah Zadera of Annapolis, MD, Donna Taylor and Darlene Bates both of Odenton, MD and the late Richard Hunt, Jr., who died on November 13, 1971. He is predeceased by his parents Richard Hunt, Sr., who died on June 18, 1997 and Rose Marie Lawson, who died on May 28, 2008. Friends are invited to George's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, February 20 from 6pm until funeral services begin at 8pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
