George P. Mollohan - Obituary

eorge P. Mollohan, 81, a 50-year resident of Edgewater, MD, passed away at his home on March 24, 2022. Born on December 22, 1940 in Gasaway, WV to the late Elsie and Charles Mollohan, Sr., George was raised in Duck, WV then moved to Bethesda, MD before settling in Edgewater. He was a master carpenter having learned the trade as a teenager from his father, the owner of Mollohan Lumber Mill. George maintained a vast collection of tools; he also enjoyed collecting china and Hess trucks. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Mollohan. He is survived by his five step-children, Norman L. Rosencrans of Charlestown, SC, Robert S. Rosencrans of Myrtle Beach, SC, Susan L. Goddard of Pasadena, MD, Sheila A. Rosencrans and Sharon (Richard) Larrimore both of Edgewater. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family in West Virginia. No funeral services are planned.
