eorge John Nalley, 89, a four-year resident of Annapolis, and previously of Hershey, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 20, 2016 at the Brightview Assisted Living Center in Edgewater, after an eight month battle with lung cancer.
George was born on January 28, 1927 in Washington, D.C., to the late Elmer and Julia Matthews Nalley. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. George was a firefighter, proudly serving for the Miami Dade County Fire Department. He was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, G. Irene Nalley in 1999.
He is survived by his children; Carol Healy of Riva, Maryland, George Nalley and Karen Hope, both of Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kevin and Christopher Healy, Shawn Hope and Shelly Zuehlsdorff, and three great-grandchildren Easton Healy, Shea George Healy and Lucy Healy.
A celebration of George's life will be held at a later date.
