George T. Petchel - Obituary

eorge T. Petchel, 84, went home to be with his lord and savior on August 6th, 2016. Born November 27, 1931 in Upper Darby PA. He was predeceased by his parents, George Petchel and Vera Phelan Petchel, brother John Petchel, and sisters Agnes Petchel and Helen Petchel Jaworski. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, elected a member of Sigma Pi Sigma National Physics Honor Society. He served in the U.S. Army receiving an honorable discharge. George is survived by his four sons, Christopher Petchel, Timothy Petchel, Daniel Petchel, and Stephen Petchel, daughter in law, Wendy Petchel, two grandchildren, Thomas Petchel and Kaysie Petchel and one great granddaughter, Gracie Petchel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Parish of Piscataway, 13401 Piscataway Rd, Clinton MD 20735. The family will receive friends and family at a reception immediately following the service. Burial will follow at a later date. George received great enjoyment in listening to EWTN and Mother Angelica.
