George Talios - Obituary

eorge Nick Talios, 88, was born into his new life on Thursday, August 13, 2015. He is now dancing with his wife and eternal love, Athena. Survivors include his children, Alexandra (Peter) Stetler of St. Mary's , GA and Nicholas (Diana) Talios of Annapolis MD; grandchildren, Marie Talios of Annapolis, Md., Blake (Whitney) and great-granddaughter, Althea Stetler of Houston, Texas, Alexander (Melody) and step great-granddaughter, Jillian of Denton, MD and Veronica Stetler of St. Mary's, GA. He attended Georgetown University and graduated with a degree from the School of Foreign Service. He worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency while in the Air Force. George was proficient in seven languages and psychological warfare. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal before his honorable discharge in 1970. George's second career was with Clarendon Trust Company (First American Bank ) in Arlington, VA holding the position of Branch Manager and Assistant Treasurer. He was a loyal member of AHEPA and faithful servant of God at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis, MD. George enjoyed traveling and sharing life's stories with his family, friends, and all he came in contact with. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10am at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Rd, Annapolis, MD. Interment, with full military honors, will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
