George Murray Ward - Obituary

eorge "Snookey" M. Ward, Jr., a 74-year resident of Edgewater, MD, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. He was 74. Born September 8, 1942, in Annapolis, MD, to the late George M. Ward, Sr. and Betty Ward, George attended Annapolis Senior High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. George was employed as a general contractor and enjoyed building computers, cooking, traveling and spending time with family. George is survived by his two children, George M. Ward, III of Edgewater, MD and Dana Cosgrove and her husband, Rick of West River, MD; a brother, Ronald D. Ward, Sr. and his wife, Nancy; four grandchildren, Richard P. Cosgrove, II, Jessica M. Ward, Alyssa D. Cosgrove and Sophia R. Cosgrove; and two great-grandchildren, Tucker and Leah Mayhew. All services and interment are private.
