Georgette Snyder - Obituary

eorgette O. Snyder, 86, a 3-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Hyattsville, died on June 15, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness. Born April 17, 1926 in Washington, DC to the late Anthony and Grace Oliveto, she was a graduate of Eastern High School in Washington. Georgette retired in 1982 after a career as an Administrative Assistant at the Interstate Commerce Commission. Her hobbies included shopping, game shows and spending time with her family. Georgette was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harold Snyder in 1976 and her daughter, Donna Marie Waters in 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Elliott and her husband, John of Edgewater; one brother, Joe Oliveto of Ocean City; two sisters, Mary Lewis of Silver Spring and Grace Baird of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, John and Mike Elliott and Amy Henshaw, and 14 great-grandchildren. All services will be private.
