n Thursday, August 1, 2013. The beloved husband of Melody A. Tippett; devoted father of Chris (Leslie) Tippett and the late Keith Tippett; son of Barbara Jean Tippett; brother of Joseph "Jay" and Janice M. Tippett, Jody A. Franklin and the late Mary "Joy" Gerkens; grandfather of Ella and Logan Tippett; brother-in-law of John P. Nolan and family, also survived by his loving nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Jerry's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 8 at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
