Gertrude Agnes Clifford - Obituary

ertrude "Trudy" Agnes Clifford, a 55-year resident of Annapolis, MD died on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was 84. Born November 23, 1931, in Kulpmont, PA to the late Walter and Helen Kadyszewski, she received her degree in nursing and a master degree in Psychology. Trudy worked as a registered nurse and psychiatric nurse for many years. She loved gardening, reading, needlepoint and traveling anywhere she could. Trudy also enjoyed playing tennis and competed in the Senior Olympics. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Ladies of the Elks. In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Webster Clifford, Sr., whom she married on June 26, 1954, and who died on June 4, 1971; a daughter, Pamela Jane Clifford; and five siblings, Vincent Kadyszewski, Eleanor Yasenchock, Helen Boslego, Genevieve Federowicz and Clara Wadkiewicz. Trudy is survived by four children, Calvin W. Clifford, Jr. of Lothian, MD, Judith A. Wyckoff of Ocala, FL, Mark E. Clifford of Annapolis, MD and Matthew V. Clifford of Riva, MD; three brothers, Ronald, Thomas and Francis Kadyszewski; two sisters, Agatha Konieczynski and Barbara Lazarski; nine grandchildren, Mark Clifford, Jr., James Clifford, Peter Wyckoff, Matthew Clifford, Jr., Danielle Pickerall, Heather Clifford, Sarah Cannon, Pamela Scoman and Ashley Clifford; and five great-grandchildren, Joe, Josh, Tre, Daishaun and Emily. Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday, July 17 from 3:00 p.m. until Trudy's funeral service begins at 6:00 p.m. Interment private.
