Gertrude (Trudy) M. Linenberger (Stewart), 75, a 36-year resident of Shady Side, MD died peacefully in her home with her husband Marc by her side on August 8, 2022 following a lengthy illness.  Trudy was born to Mae and Kelly Stewart on February 20, 1947 in Washington DC and spent her childhood years in Viers Mill Village, Wheaton, MD with her brother Randy.  At 10 years old Trudy’s mother died suddenly from a heart attack.  Years later her father met Arden Stahl, they married, sold the house in Viers Mill Village and built a house in Annapolis, MD.  Trudy attended Annapolis Senior High and graduated in 1965.  Trudy had a long and varied career that included teaching children with disabilities, volunteer work doing senior care and 25+ years in international corporate finance and management.  In December 1987 Trudy and Marc adopted Kate Elizabeth (11 months old) in Asuncion, Paraguay in South America.  Trudy’s goal was to devote her life to raising Kate and getting a couple of grandchildren in the bargain, and she met her goal well...  Trudy is preceded in death by her father Kelly Stewart, her biological mother Mae Stewart, her brother Randy Stewart and Arden Stewart, her stepmother for 56 years...  Trudy is survived by Marc Linenberger, her husband and companion of 44 years, niece Gaylene James, nephews Michael James and Randy Stewart, daughter Kate Mead, son-in-law Brian Mead and grandchildren Gabriella Catalina (6) and Aribella Grace (4).  Trudy was laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis.  In lieu of flowers please plant a tree in her remembrance.
