ertrude Blanch Youngling, 98, a 7 year resident of North Beach, MD and previously of Holliston, MA for over 63 years, died on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born November 16, 1911 in West Medway, MA to the late Augustus and Alvina Groehl, she graduated from Medway High School. In addition to being a homemaker, Gertrude was a founding member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Holliston, MA and a member of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, gardening, playing cards and summers in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Gertrude is the beloved wife of the late Harold B. Youngling, whom she married in 1940. She is survived by one son, Harold G. Youngling and his wife Ruth, of Grasonville, MD, her grandchildren, Eric, Dawn, Heather and Holly.
A memorial service will be held on October 2, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1162 Highland St., Holliston, MA 01746. Inurnment in Lake Grove Cemetery.
