ilbert L. “Buddy” Rollman of Annapolis died on Sunday, May 27. Born on June 17, 1932 in Washington, DC, Buddy graduated from Eastern High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at the former Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company for over 30 years. After retiring, Buddy worked for several different communication companies.
He was a Life Member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion. He was also an avid Redskins fan who held season tickets for 42 years.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Rollman; two sons, Rick (Kathy) and Brett (Robin) Anderson; one grandson, Tony Anderson; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to Buddy’s Life Celebration on Thursday, May 31 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater where Buddy’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1 at 10AM. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
