ladys Arvilla Latimer, age 80, a resident of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Georgetown University Hospital. Born in Lewistown, PA to the late William Philip and AnnaBelle Leister. Gladys retired from Charles County Public School System Food Service as a cafeteria manager. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Temple Hills, MD, St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waldorf, MD, St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in DE and St. Andrew's on the Sound Episcopal Church in Wilmington, NC. In her free time she enjoyed, getting her hair and nails done, baking, cooking, sewing, crafts, family reunions, genealogy, taking photos, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Rambler ; her granddaughter, Christina Aloupis; and her three sisters, Evelyn Mae Weidman, Patricia Ann Leister and Marilyn Jean "Jeanie" Witmer. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Dennis Latimer; her three loving children, Patrick Lee Rambler of La Plata, MD, Andrew Dwight (Susan) Rambler of Callaway, MD and Stephanie Ann (Vince) Rieman of Wilmington, NC; her sister, Kathryn Gertrude Killian of Sisters, OR; her grandchildren, Kimberly Pilkerton, Christine Whitley, Erin DeTemple, Amanda and Dylan Rambler, Cody and Cameron Rieman. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Gladys' Life Celebration on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church (Historic Church), 5203 St. Barnabas Road, Temple Hills, MD. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
