Gloria Reece - Obituary

loria Carroll Reece, 91, of Annapolis, died September 7 at the Mandrin Hospice House in Harwood. Gloria was born in Newark, NJ on April 28, 1922 to the late William and Margaret Reismiller. She attended the Berkley Secretarial School and went on to become an Administrative Assistant for the Maryland State Governor's Office from 1972-1985. Gloria was a member of St. Mary's Church in Annapolis, Elks Club of Annapolis and the Fleet Reserve Club. Her interests included ballroom dancing, spending time with her family, and playing bridge. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Walter Carroll whom she married in 1947, and who died in 1985, and her second husband Howard C. Reece whom she married in 1996 and who died in 2008. Gloria is survived by her sister Margaret Erff of Annapolis; three sons, Gregory Carroll of White Stone, VA, Kevin Carroll of Stevensville and Steve Carroll of Odenton; two daughters, Maureen Davis of Davidsonville and Donna Stratton of Annapolis; grandchildren; Sean Carroll of Durham, NC, Eric Davis of Annapolis, Michael Carroll of Stevensville, Brett Stratton of Annapolis, Brooke Robison of Virginia Beach, VA, Heather Carroll of Chester, Chelsea Cooper of Jacksonville, NC and Paige Stratton of Annapolis, and seven great-grandchildren.
