Gloria Rothgeb - Obituary

loria F. Rothgeb, 89, a former resident of Davidsonville, and later Annapolis, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Gloria was born on October 1, 1923, in Washington, D.C., to the late Angelo and Graciella Gabardini. Gloria retired as a Personnel Officer with Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and most recently St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis. She was a past president of the Woman’s Republican Party in Davidsonville. Gloria loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. She was preceded in death by her former husband George Hereford, her brother; Peter C. Gabardini, Sr. and her sisters Carolyn Reeves and Alice Booth. Gloria is survived by her husband, Wade L. Rothgeb of Annapolis, her stepdaughters Debbie and her husband Brian Miller of Florida and Kay and her husband Mark Brimijoin of Virginia. Also, her step-grandchildren are Bill and his wife Megan and Perry Brimijoin. She was extremely devoted to her nephews Peter C. Gabardini, Jr. and his wife Patty of Florida, Dick Booth and his wife Veronica of Florida and her nieces Joan Vanderbrink of Texas and Carol Reeves of Maryland. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, April 19, at 10:30am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403 or to St. Mary’s Church General Fund, 113 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
