Grace Mary Kopchak - Obituary

race Mary Kopchak, age 94, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at her residence in Annapolis, MD. Grace was born on December 4, 1930 in Bingen, PA to Jacob and Sylvia Fisher. Grace moved to Annapolis with her husband, Metro, in 2021 from South Plainfield, NJ where she lived for the majority of her life. She was a longtime member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, reading, crocheting, knitting, and needlework in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Sylvia Fisher; her children, Matthew and Melissa Kopchak, and Russell Giovarelli. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Metro Kopchak; her children, Pamela Cooling of Edgewater, MD, David Giovarelli of Boca Raton, FL and Andy Kopchak of Thornton, NH; her grandchildren, Shannon Werrlein Duffy, Lisa and Christopher Giovarelli, Patrick and Jonathan Werrlein, Matthew and Andrew Kopchak, and Nicole Kopchak. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Ave., Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
