Grace Shamer - Obituary

n Wednesday, April 27, Grace E. Shamer passed away at Spa Creek in Annapolis, MD. Grace was born on September 8, 1924 to the late Robert and Irene Blake in Baltimore, MD. She was married to Joseph Shamer for nearly 30 years before his death in 1977. Grace who was known as Peanut worked in management at several retail stores including, Rite Aide, Walmart and Tops. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope in Dundalk, and St. Bridgetts in Baltimore. She enjoyed duckpin bowling, singing, macramé, and other crafts. Grace is survived by her five children; Joseph(Cindy) Shamer of Leader Heights, PA, Sharon(Frank) Crain of Mitchellville, JoAnn (Dan) Cantrell of AuGres, MI, Beth(Tom) Pollock of Litchfield, IL and Sheila(Bob) Frank of Baltimore; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; two brother; Charlie Blake of Orlando, FL, and Kenneth Blake of Palm Bay, FL. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 11am at Holy Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River, MD.
