Greer A. Fischbach - Obituary

reer Anne Fischbach, 78, a 23 year resident of Annapolis, MD passed away on August 9, 2022. Born at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center on September 17, 1943 to the late Herbert and Lillian Vogel Battenfeld, Greer attended Saint Joseph’s Monastery, Edmondson-Westside High School and The Catholic High School of Baltimore. She went on to enjoy careers at Eye Associates of Annapolis and Air Cargo, Inc. Greer was a parishioner at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis. She enjoyed traveling, eating out with friends, and showering her grand and great-grandchildren with love. Greer is survived by her husband of 32 years, Samuel J. Colbert; sons, Donald Lee Fischbach of Pasadena, MD and Troy Shawn Fischbach of Iowa City, IA; grandchildren, Jennifer Lee, Taylor Jean and Brice Wesley Fischbach and Stephanie Ann Fischbach Dallas and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Fischbach. Friends are invited to celebrate Greer’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, August 14 from 5 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD on Monday, August 15 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at John Wesley Annapolis Neck Cemetery in Annapolis. Memorial contributions may be made, in Greer’s name, to the St. John Neumann Catholic Education Fund, 620 N.
