Gregory Rich - Obituary

regory Rich was born in Washington, DC on August 30, 1947. He was the second child of four boys born to the late Melvin and Marie Rich. He Graduated from Ballou Senior High school in Washington, DC. He was a Vietnam Veteran of The United States Air Force which he joined at the age of seventeen. His passions were the Arts, gardening and sports. Gregory retired from the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handle after forty-four years and retired from the Air National Guard after twenty years. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Rich. On Sunday, January 20, 2019, after a brief illness, the Lord received Gregory into eternal rest. He is survived by his daughter Karen and sons Mario, Derrick, Eric, and Curtis; brother’s Melvin and Curtis Sr. and sister-in-law Deborah; Ex-wife Fabu Rich and twenty-five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Gregory's Life Celebration at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery,Cheltenham, MD at 1 p.m.
