Grover Welborn - Obituary

rover Eugene Welborn, Jr., 89 of Bowie, Maryland died on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Crofton Care & Rehab. Center in Crofton, Maryland. Born Monday, January 24, 1921. He served as a Gunner's Mate 1c in the Navy from 1940 until 1946. He was a Veteran of World War II. Surviving are sons, Mr. Jack Welborn of Edgewater, MD and Patrick H. Welborn, daughters, Mrs. Gloria Mishou, Candy Springmann and Hope Osborn, brother, Hubert Welborn, sisters, Mavis Allen and Jean Schaeffer; 10 grand children; 2 great grand children. A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday at George P. Kalas Funeral Home located at 2973 Solomons Island Road Edgewater, Maryland 21037. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of funeral service begins at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Maryland.
