Guillermo Sanchez - Obituary

uillermo Sanchez was born in Advance, Indiana on September 22, 1953 by Fidel Sanchez and Guillermina Medrano. He is the only son and the fourth of five children. He spent most of his childhood on a farm in Shelby, Michigan before the family moved on to call Laredo, Texas their home. He left behind his wife of over 30 years Remedios Velasco Sanchez, four children: Gilbert Joseph, Maria Luisa Jimenez, Joseph Guillermo and Anthony; two grandsons: Quenton Sanchez and Perseus Jimenez; son-in-law Jose Miguel Jimenez; four sisters: Maria M. Jimenez, Alicia Carrillo, Celia Vasquez, and Berta Sanchez. He retired as a Federal Correctional Officer of 25 years, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, after serving 4 years active, he continued as a DC Army National Guard reservist for 7 years. Guillermo and Remedios together with their children are all active parishioners of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, Maryland where they called their home state since 1983. Relatives and friends are invited to Guillermo's Life Celebration on Monday, April 2, 2018 for an overnight viewing from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village St, Waldorf, MD 20602.
