arry Clinton "Clint" Shaffer, 89, of Annapolis, died February 10 at his home. Born October 12, 1922 in Baltimore, Clint served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Philippines during World War II. He worked at Equifax for 40 years, retiring as a Regional Vice President. A lifetime boating enthusiast, Clint enjoyed cruising with the Annapolis Power Squadron and the West River Yacht Club, where he was recently named Vice Commodore. He also enjoyed serving his community in leadership roles at Heritage Harbour and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Clint was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Norma Gray Shaffer, who died in 2006. He is survived by his son, Brent Shaffer of Rose Valley, PA; his two grandchildren, Gray and Morgan Shaffer also of Rose Valley, PA; and his special friend, Shirley Insley of Annapolis. Friends are invited to Clint's Life Celebration from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 17 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A memorial will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 31 Rowe Boulevard, Annapolis. Interment private.
