Harriet A. Harris - Obituary

Harriet Anne Harris of Annapolis, MD passed away on August 10, 2021. She was born July 11,1939 in Gassaway, WV. She was a graduate of Shepherd University and went on to earn her Master’s degree in education from University of MD. Anne worked for the Anne Arundel County School District, as a teacher for 40.5 years. Her second act after retirement was as a salesclerk at Nordstrom’s men’s department. Her true passion in life was to travel – Africa being the one she visited the most often. She will always be remembered for her passion and love of African elephants. She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She also volunteered for many years at the Clothes Box. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray E and Delberta Harris. Her brother -in- law Donald E Osburn. She is survived by her sister, Barbara H Osburn, of Easton, MD. Her niece, Lisa-Jo Pepper and husband, Bryan W Pepper, of Lewes, DE. Her great niece, Lynde Pepper of Nashville, TN. Celebration of Life service information to be forth coming. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated in Anne’s name to Trinity United Methodist Church 1300 West St, Annapolis, MD 21401.
