Harry Adkins - Obituary

n Tuesday, July 6, 2010, of Ft. Washington, MD. Born on November 30, 1927 in Portsmouth, VA, Harry was a charter member, deacon, trustee and teacher at Forest Heights Baptist Church since 1953. During his career, Harry worked at the Star Newspaper for over thirty years and at the National Air Survey. He was the beloved husband for over sixty years of Bobbie Tatum Adkins; father of Sandy, Jim and Phyllis, also survived by five grandchildren, many relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to Harry's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12 at 11:00am at Forest Heights Baptist Church, Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
