H

arry Alfred Parks, 82, a 28-year resident of Palm Bay, FL, and previously of Harwood, MD, died in Melbourne, FL on April 2, 2024 of respiratory failure. Born August 18, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Alfred Pierre Parks and Mary Elizabeth Solomon, he graduated from Annapolis Senior High School in 1959. Harry honorably served in the Army's 101st Airborne division. Following his discharge from the military, he worked for Bell Atlantic/AT&T, retiring after 29 years. Harry enjoyed fishing, making pickles, and was an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ed Keen. Harry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynda Parks; four children, Todd A. Parks of Annapolis, MD, Amy Brown of Annapolis, MD, Kelly Petrella of Harwood, MD, and Alicia Stellato of Palm Bay, FL; a sister, Rochelle Keen of Edgewater; ten grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Brittni Parks, Michael Petrella, Jr., Zoe Brown, Jake Petrella, Emily Parks, Nick Petrella, Gabby Brown, Enya Parks, and Brooklyn Stellato, and three great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Harry's life on Friday, May 24, from 11 am until his memorial service begins at noon at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD. Memorial donations may be made in Harry's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
