Harvey J. Paquette, Jr. - Obituary

n March 1, 2022, Harvey Joseph Paquette, Jr. joined his beautiful bride, MaryLou, in heaven. Born and raised in Westfield, MA, he is survived by his five children; his son, Terry (Laurie), and daughters Susan Bennett (Bobby), Sally Paquette, Gail Spruill, and Laura Batts (Martin). Harvey was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. After serving in the Marine Corps during WWII, he began his career as a Massachusetts State trooper. His love of learning and teaching led him to Dale Carnegie, and a lengthy career in sales training. His ability to inspire others was evident in his role as his family’s biggest cheerleader. Harvey was known for his love of life, music, movies, and his smile. He was a dedicated rose gardener, a voracious reader and avid foodie. His most treasured times were spent with his wife and family, whether it be a simple drive in the country with MaryLou, attending a grandchild’s sporting event, dressing up for one of our many parties, sharing a holiday meal or the Annual Watermelon Spit. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday the 19th of March at Powhatan United Methodist Church in Virginia.
