Hattie Jackson - Obituary

f Glenn Dale, MD peacefully passed away September 25, 2014. Beloved mother of Marvin Jackson, Linda Jackson Smith, and Daryl Jackson. Also survived by granddaughter, Jessica Jackson, sister Gloria Linton, brother Donald Morris and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Jackson, son Michael Jackson, brother Linder Morris, Jr., sister Doris Fair, parents Linder Morris, Sr. and Leila Hart Morris. Hattie was a career educator, retired from DC Public Schools. She was a native of Asheville, NC and a longtime resident of Ft. Washington, MD. Friends will be received on Friday, October 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Viewing at 10:15 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Columba Special Projects Campaign or to National Lymphedema Network.
