Hazel Brown - Obituary

azel Earl Brown, 96, a 20-year resident of Annapolis, MD, died on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at his home after a brief illness. Born on June 5, 1919, in Floral, KY, Hazel received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Kentucky University and served his country as a Naval officer during WWII. He was employed as an electronic engineer at the Naval Research Lab from 1941-79. Hazel is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Brown; his devoted children, Susan Hickey of Glen Burnie, MD, Pat Beach of Owings, MD, and Douglas Brown of Harwood, MD; his grandchildren, Kathleen Williams, Rebecca Brobst and Karen Palumbo, Kevin and Jason Beach, and Danielle and Ethan Brown. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Hazel's life at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, September 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at 11 am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
