Helen Daniel - Obituary

elen C. “Snowball” Daniel, 81, a six-year resident of Laurel and previously of Suitland for many years, died of cancer April 28 at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House. She was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Washington, D.C. She worked as a secretary and bindery assistant at the Government Printing Office. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and poker. Survivors include one son, Carter Daniel of Lothian; one daughter, Linda Andrade of Charlotte Hall; one brother, William Currin of Woodbridge, Va.; one sister, Mary Yeager of Upper Marlboro; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Friends are invited to Helen's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 1 at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
