elen Hagood Gerrior, 84, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, died on Oct. 29, of cancer at her daughter's residence after a six month illness. Born June 26, 1926 in Tate Springs, Tenn., she graduated from Annapolis High School and attended Towson University and Bowie State College. Helen was a 3rd grade teacher in Anne Arundel County for over 32 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edgewater. Helen loved spending time with her family, cooking, reading and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Gerrior, whom she married on July 25, 1948. He died on July 21, 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Howard of Churchton, and Sharon Riley of Punta Gorda, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tyler Howard of Alexandria, Va,, Kate Riley Funk of Valencia, Pa., Megan Riley Clark of Nashville, Tenn., and Lawren Howard Bowen of Shady Side; and eight great-grandchildren.

Monday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Edgewater, 38 W. Central Avenue, Edgewater, MD 21037.
