Helen R. Stecher - Obituary

elen R. Stecher, 82, a resident of Davidsonville, MD for forty years, died on Monday, October 18 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Born on April 6, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dr. William G. and Ethel L. Ryon, Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph L. Stecher III; her daughters, Dawn Tillini of North Beach, MD, Sharon Stecher of Davidsonville, MD and Michelle Smiroldo of Crofton, MD; her brother, William G. Ryon of Delaware; her grandchildren, Moses, Paul, Sam, Geena and Maria Smiroldo, Danielle Stecher, Regina Davis, Nichole Fitzhugh, Megan and Michael Tillini and four great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Helen's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, October 22 from 11 am until her funeral service begins at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery in West River, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
