H

enry Thomas Ulasek, 95, a resident of Heritage Harbor in Annapolis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on April 29, 1919 in Cleveland, OH to the late Albert and Mary Rozek Ulasek, Henry graduated from Cleveland High School and later received a degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He was an archivist at the National Archives where he worked on and prepared President Harry Truman’s personal papers for inclusion in the Truman Presidential Library. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1978. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice O. Ulasek and his granddaughter Carrie Martin. He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Guyker of Eldersburg and Margaret “Peggy” Ulasek of Huntingtown and his granddaughter Desiree Ansonin. Family and friends are invited to Henry’s Life Celebration from 10:00 to 11:00am on Friday, February 20 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the SPCA of Anne Arundel Co., 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403 or The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
