Herbert Brentlinger - Obituary

erbert C. Brentlinger, 85, a ten year resident of Lothian, MD and previously of Deale, MD died on December 25, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. Born, August 30, 1923 in Huntington, West Virginia, he owned and operated car washes in the Chicago area for most of his life. Mr. Brentlinger served in the United States Navy during WWII in Utility Squadron 13. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. His hobbies included golfing, boating, fishing and he loved his dog, Oscar. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Lee Brentlinger, who died on April 12, 1975, they were married for 29 years; father of Cathey Kazanarakis of Deale, MD and Laura Lee Brentlinger of Cool, CA; brother of Alma Marie Brentlinger of Huntington, WV and the late Maxine Stracy; grandfather of Ryan Matthew Cullen of Ridgely, MD and L. James Cullen, IV of Centreville, MD; father in law of Kevin Kazanarakis of Deale, MD. Services and interment are private.
