erbert Hoover Sullivan passed away July 9, 2014. He was 82. He was born on Tyler Ave in Eastport. Even though he lived in Hillsmere for over 50 years and later moved to Ridgely, he was always an “Eastporter”. He graduated from Annapolis High School.
Herby worked as a backhoe operator. He was a hard working man, who seemed to know everybody and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed his family, visiting friends, his farm animals, antique cars and shooting. He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
Herb is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Westphal Sullivan; three children, Herby Sullivan (Marti), Bonnie Johnson (Larry) and Peggy Sue Lee (Norman);seven grandchildren, Herby, Michelle, Tammy, Kara, Lee, Norman and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Cash; two sisters, Charlotte and Margaret; and a brother, Wallace. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd, Roy, Ernest, Earl; and three sisters, Marion, Francis and Mary Ella.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 13 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14 at 10am. Interment St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Annapolis.
