ilton L. “Mickey†Turner, 77, of Annapolis, MD died at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood on May 20, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Turner was born on September 11, 1931 in Lothian, MD to the late Edna and James Turner, Sr. He was married to the love of his life, Bessie Turner on September 16, 1961 who died in 2002. Mr. Turner served in the US Army during the Korean War. After serving in the US Army he was the propriertor of the Turner Amoco Gas Station in Lothian for the next 40 years. His interests included his family, NASCAR and football. He was the beloved father of Vicki Turner of Tracy's Landing, MD and Douglas Turner of Annapolis, MD; brother of Warren, Johnny, Thomas and Kenneth Turner, Marie Waller, Barbara Jane Kappas, Elaine Mullan and the late Maurice, James Jr., Nonia, Mary Alice and Robert Turner and Florance DeSales; he is also survived by his grandchildren. Friends are invited to Mickey's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, May 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM, where service will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 11AM. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
