Howard Halsey - Obituary

oward “Ricky” Halsey, 51, of Harwood, MD died unexpectedly on January 22, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Mr. Halsey was born, December 18, 1957 in Annapolis, MD. He graduated from Southern High School in Harwood, MD in 1976. He formerly lived in Lothian, MD. He worked for twenty five years in the printing business. At the time of his death, he was employed by Lanes Bus Company in Harwood, MD. In his youth, he attended Sunday school and the youth group at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lothian, MD. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR and professional hockey. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, James & Mary Cranford and his brother, David Halsey, all of Lothian, MD. He was predeceased in death by his father Howard E. Halsey in 1981. Friends are invited to Mr. Halsey's Life Celebration on Monday, January 26 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 122 Bayard Road, Lothian, MD, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
