Howard Schlosser - Obituary

oward “Buddy” Schlosser, 80, an 8-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Hyattsville, MD died on May 26, 2010 of natural causes at his home after a short illness. Born July 20, 1929 in Washington, DC, he was employed for Marble Tile and Terrazzo Workers, Local1 until retirement. After retirement, he worked for the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission. Buddy was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed reading, hunting and loved the mountains, natures and the outdoors. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” M. Schlosser, whom he married on November 26, 1949 and who died on December 23, 2008.; mother of Michele DiCarlo of Edgewater, MD, Teresa Sego of Bowie, MD and late Bobby W. Schlosser, who died on April 1, 1974; grandmother of Tina DiCarlo of Edgewater, MD, Kathy Griffis of Grasonville, MD, Sharon Rogers of Edgewater, MD and Robert Sego of Bowie, MD; great-grandfather of Dezi Collins, Ashley Ross, Donnie and J.C. Rogers, Dominick, Kainan and Damian Youell. Friends are invited to Buddy's Life Celebration on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD from 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Interment Ft. Lincoln Cemetery.
